The Australian Law Librarians Association (Australia occidentale) Division) (ALLA (WA)) è un'associazione incorporata e fa parte dell'Australian Law Librarians Association nazionale. L'appartenenza alla Divisione WA è composta da bibliotecari o persone che hanno un interesse nella biblioteconomia legale. ALLA (WA) è gestita su base volontaria da un Comitato che viene eletto alla fine di ogni anno. Gli obiettivi del Comitato sono promuovere il lavoro dei membri di ALLA, fornire opportunità di sviluppo professionale, tenere sessioni informative, creare opportunità per i bibliotecari di fare rete con altri bibliotecari, editori e organizzazioni esterne che possono promuovere le risorse e i servizi che possiamo offrire alle nostre organizzazioni.

ALLA (WA) mira anche a fare pressioni per un maggiore accesso alle informazioni legali primarie e per massimizzare la disponibilità generale delle informazioni legali. Collaboriamo con le divisioni ALLA nazionale e interstatale su questioni di reciproco interesse.

We welcome all participation from members, even if it’s just an idea for a future event or an idea for an ALLA (WA) Blog post. Members are also invited to attend committee meetings and details of these will be shared to our members in the lead up to each meeting.

ALLA (WA) also aims to lobby for greater access to primary legal information, and to maximise the availability generally of legal information. We aim to provide a clear line of communicaton between ALLA (WA) members and the ALLA Ltd. Board, and we liaise with the national ALLA and interstate Divisions on matters of mutual concern.

ALLA (WA) is a registered not for profit organisation with the ACNC.

The ALLA (WA) Division Committee communicates with it members via a number of channels, and will contact members directly via electronic mail. Members can contact the Committee directly via email.

The ALLA (WA) Committee is proud to also operate the Law Librarians Australia Facebook and Instagram pages, a joint project with the ALLA Victoria Division.
