About the Event

In celebration of Law Week, ALLA (Vic) has organised a webinar with librarians from court libraries across the country who manage the unreported judgments publication process.

Where do they come from? Unreported judgments and law libraries

Date: May 17, 2022

Time: 1:00 PM Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney  As lawyers, community members, and librarians increasingly access judgments in their unreported form, it's important to recognise them as an important source of law. Knowing how they come to be can help inform our research.  Presenters from Victoria, Queensland and the High Court will discuss their role and that of their library in publishing judgments. They will cover the publication process, the various stakeholders involved, the impact on the profession, and the unique processes of the work they do.

Presenters

Robin Gardner, High Court of Australia

Richard Bajraszewski, Law Library Victoria

Gavin Dunn, Queensland Supreme Court
