Divisional Lists

Some ALLA State and Territory Divisions operate their own discussion lists for matters of local concern. These lists operate independently of ALLA Ltd and are managed and funded by the relevant division.

Members are encouraged to cross-post any discussion to both their divisional list as well as the national alla-anz list. Divisions are especially encouraged to cross post announcements of events to the national list, as interstate members travelling to your state may wish to attend.

Australian Capital Territory

ALLA (ACT) has its own listserv. To subscribe visit http://lists.alla.asn.au/mailman/listinfo/alla-act

New South Wales

Members can subscribe, unsubscribe or elect to have messages digested, visit the following web page: http://lists.alla.asn.au/mailman/listinfo/alla-nsw

To post a message to all the list, send email to alla-nsw@lists.alla.asn.au

Northern Territory

Northern Territory does not currently host an automated email list, however announcements to the state may be forwarded to Lisa Capps  - Lisa.Capps@sa.gov.au for redistribution to NT members.

South Australia

The ALLA-SA mailing list is restricted to ALLA(SA) members. To subscribe or unsubscribe from the list (or to change your subscription options) visit: https://groups.google.com/g/alla-sa/about

To post a message to ALLA-SA send an email to: alla-sa@googlegroups.com

Please note this list is for state-related business and does not replace the national alla-anz-law-librarians list. Items of national interest should be posted to that list.

To request special permission to post to the list as a non-member, or for further information about the administration of ALLA-SA, send a message to the ALLA (SA) Divisional President, Lucy Brown: lucy.brown@courts.sa.gov.au

Victoria

The ALLA-VIC mailing list is restricted to ALLA (Vic) members. To subscribe or unsubscribe from the list (or to change your subscription options) visit:

https://groups.google.com/g/alla-vic/about

Via the email list, you will be notified of forthcoming meetings, special events, staff movements, updates to the membership directory and other Victorian Division news through this list. You are encouraged to make use of the list to exchange news and information, request assistance with difficult enquiries and urgent interlibrary loans (once traditional sources have been exhausted!), dispose of unwanted material and discuss any topic which is of particular relevance to Victorian members of the ALLA.

Please note: this list does not replace the national alla-anz-law-librarians list: items of national interest should be posted to that list.

To post a message to ALLA-VIC send an email to: alla-vic@googlegroups.com

The list is set up so that replies are sent to the address from which the posting to the list was made. So, if you want to reply to a list posting, and you want the entire list to see your reply, then you reply to: alla-vic@googlegroups.com

If you want to reply to the address from which the list posting was made and you do not want the entire list to see your reply then you may simply use the Reply button in your mail client software.

All contributors to the email list are expected to read and comply with the Code of conduct.

For further information about the administration of ALLA-VIC, or to request special permission to post to the list as a non-member, send a message to the ALLA (Vic) Membership Coordinator Garima Dewan.
