Clarivate RACHAEL MCDIARMID Publisher Relations – Ebooks, ANZ (P/T) 

Rachael McDiarmid has been in the book industry for over 30 years in a variety of product, sales, marketing and senior management roles. She has spent time on both sides of the fence — working primarily in academic and professional publishing, as well as a long stint in library supply managing publisher relations for the print, digital and multimedia supply chain as well as a trade distribution business. She is the ANZ contact for publishers for ProQuest’s Ebook Central and also teaches Book Marketing and Sales at the University of Sydney.

Nina Packman is Head of Analytical Content at LexisNexis 

PATRICK BREEN Patrick Breen is General Manager Product and Content, Pacific at LexisNexis. 

Thomson Reuters JAMES J. JARVIS Vice President, Product Management, 

Thomson Reuters responsible for Westlaw product design and development across Asia & Emerging Markets. James is a former lawyer and journalist recognized as an inventor on patents in legal design and technology including the design of Westlaw.com in the USA. He has designed and launched products in Australia, New Zealand, UK and the USA including a multi-application collaboration and messaging solution platform for Thomson Reuters and cloud-enabled legal and tax applications. James has also consulted on the creation of web-based solutions in Argentina, Brazil, Germany and Canada and partners with start-ups on AI, big data and design thinking. 

KEVIN STOKES Senior Director, Thomson Reuters responsible for new product development and ProView platform across Asia & Emerging Markets.

Kevin has a background in business and commercial management, brand strategy and product development across B2B publishing and national newspapers in Australia, New Zealand and the UK. He has launched affinity sales and marketing businesses across 20 industry verticals for Australian and UK newspaper groups, had commercial responsibility for Fairfax’s “Good Food Guide”, managed Online pure-plays (RSVP.com) and long-term circulation and revenue programs for New Zealand newspaper groups. At Thomson Reuters, Kevin is accountable for new annual publishing activity of more than 200 titles across Australia, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, New Zealand and Singapore and is the commercial lead for ProView in-region. 

The Federation Press TRISHA VALLIAPPAN 

Trisha Valliappan is the general manager and publisher at The Federation Press. She has worked in the publishing industry for 20 years for academic, trade and custom publishers. 

JASON MONAGHAN 

Jason Monaghan is Publisher at the Federation Press. He began his career as a lawyer but has spent most of the last 25 years in legal publishing. 

Wolters Kluwer CCH SUE ANN YAP 

Sue Ann Yap is one of the key client advocates in Wolters Kluwer, occupying the role of Strategic Engagement Manager. With over 17 years in legal publishing and disruptive technology, Sue brings with her a deep understanding and honest outlook on the trajectory of knowledge creation and production in the Australian legal publishing landscape. Sue is an admitted solicitor and is a sessional teacher at RMIT, UNSW and Monash. A strong proponent in open access to justice, in her spare time, she enjoys expositions on serial killers, swing dances competitively and relieves stress via roller derby
